How much egg food should Society Finches (Bengalese Finches) be allowed to consume?

If you mix the egg food with the seed mix you're using to feed them (50/50 mixture of food and egg food) then the birds can pick out how much their bodies need automatically. I did this when I bred my societies and it worked out quite well. I noticed that once the chicks hatched, the parents were picking out more of the eggfood from the mixture so I added a bit more and also gave them some millet because it's easy to eat and to feed to chicks.
