What are the best & affordable horse turnout rug brands?
I agree that it's best to have 2 in case of one getting wet inside in really heavy rain. Use a lighter one during the day or he wont feel the benefit of it during the night. The higher the denier the more w/proof it will be. I have found that by looking at Derby House stuff, they are a lot more expensive than Robinsons. Robinsons have a fabulous web site and are having a special offer time with rugs of all sorts. I got my horse a Weathabeeta with a detachable neck but it was 179.00 plus p/p. You wont get much for 50. If you want a good idea, go to stable sales etc..sometimes animal welfare people have them.
